As a member of the 1985 graduating class at Waverly High School, I can honestly say I had no freaking idea where life was going to take me the day I was handed my diploma. In a million years, I'd have never guessed that I would have been able to work for the organizations I've been fortunate enough to be a part of, and meet & work with the incredible people I have.

In September of 1988 with an Associate's Degree in Accounting in hand, I started on what I thought would be a long career with a local oil company.

That thought went out the window the morning of April 17, 1992 when Tim Sheridan, the morning show host at the new upstart rock station in town - 106-3 The Blaze - invited anyone who wanted to, to call up and do a sports report.

Monday morning April 20, 1992 I did just that.

Since then I've had some fun...

I spent 7 years as Iron Mike at The Blaze.
I announced at Eagle Raceway for a decade.
I hosted the scoreboard show & Big Red Reaction on the Nebraska Football broadcast.
I did play-by-play for the Nebraska Softball Team.
I called 681 Lincoln Stars Hockey games and another 10 games for two other USHL franchises.
I've done PA for over a dozen Stars games, and a handful of Omaha Lancer games.
I called a dozen UNO Hockey games.
I hosted a Lincoln Stars-focused radio show for years.

These days I'm lucky enough to be doing a weekly sports talk show, The Husker Rewind, Sunday's from 5-7pm on 93-7 The Ticket with my great friend of almost 30 years, Tom Stephens.

Oh ya... I Also help with this cool podcast you should check out called Nebraska Gems....
